On 7 December 2007 a seminar took place at Hotel Velan on the topic of "Cleaner production: saving money and resources".More 50 participants of Tirupur industries active in textile wet processing attended the seminar. With contributions by TNO, H&M, Control Union and CONQUEST a variety of topics was addressed, ranging from possibilities for energy and water savings and boiler optmisation to certification.
The large number of participants and the way in which they evaluated the topics addressed shows the interest in Tirupur in options to improve their environmental performance while at the same time cost savings can be achieved.
